GPS Birding Tours (Self-drive)

How it works

• You contact us and give us the details of how much time you want to spend, the sort of accomodation you would like to utilise, birding objectives and other requirements (walking, game-viewing etc)
We design a custom made itinerary for your self-drive tour and quote for a fully inclusive package.
• Your tour price will include car rental, all accomodation and specified activities. It also includes rental of a GPS navigation unit, preloaded with your personal route and waypoints.
• Extensive experience in arranging and leading customised birding trips across Eastern South Africa, enables us to able to advise on quality accomodation, and design an itinerary that will meet your needs. By taking this option, you are essentially getting expert advice from a Birding Tour operator who is always "fresh from the field"!
• On arrival in South Africa you are met by an Indicator Birding Staff Member, who gives you your rental vehicle, your rental GPS with your route track pre-loaded and your detailed tour booklet with complete waypoint reference guide, maps, birdlists and vouchers for all establishments at which you will be staying
• You do your tour, at your own pace, and on your own, with a GPS instrument to ensure that you stop at all the right places, and do not end up where you don't want to be. This saves you time and ensures that you get the most out of your birding trip.
