White-bellied Korhaan Project
Congratulations to Niall Perrins on reaching 800 species for 2011 !

To celebrate this feat we are offering a number of course places to be auctioned in aid of the White-bellied Korhaan Project, which has been so ably promoted by Niall in his 800 year.

Here follow the three auctions: (with closing dates in parenthesis)

Auction 1: (closes 24 October) Two places on our regular Bird Identification for Beginners being held on 29 & 30 October (in Centurion). The course consists of a full day lectures, comprehensvie work-book and guided field outing on the Sunday, during which you will be able to apply what has been learned. ..........More on the Beginners Course.

Auction 2: (closes 30 October ) Two places (individual or together) on my Raptor Course from 5-6 NovemberThe raptor course runs over two days and includes a guided field outing to local hotspot for raptors. On our last outing in September we saw 7 raptor species in about three hours. ..........More on the Raptor Course.

Auction 3: (closes 3 November) One places on the Warbler Field Course to be held on 2-4 March 2012
This is an annual field course aimed at seeing the majority of Palearctic Migrant warblers in the field. Apart from aquatic warblers like Little Rush and Sedge Warbler we focus on the "bushveld" warblers including Marsh, Icterine, Olive-Tree and Common Whitethroat. Thrush Nightingale and River Warbler are also possible, depending on conditions at the time.........more on the warbler field courses.
